The forgotten week...

Last week was a full week and we did so much that I didn't really have time to blog about it.  So I am now catching up:

July 19, 2011
We went on a 2 hour hike at Alum Rock Park with our friends, Becky, her neighbor Kelly, Astrid, and Kelly... and all of our children!  (12 total!)
It was a long hike but they all did a fantastic job!
They were careful not to get too close to the poison oak -- and there were lots!
For the most part, everyone kept up:
Beautiful view:

The next day we started off slow and worked on our penmanship.
July 20, 2011
She's been practicing her cursive:
His writing is slowly improving:
And he's working on number and letter recognition:
Then they had swim lessons:
It was neat to be able to capture them together but in different swim groups:
They are doing so well!
The next day we had planned to visit Gilroy Gardens with our friends Lori and Braden, but Lori became ill.... So change of plans!  We headed to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo instead:
July 21, 2011
We started with story time with Safari Sam -- he is hilarious!

Then a puppet show of The elves and the shoemaker:
The shoemakers:
The elves:
Then some fun!

He always tries to get into a fire engine ride because you can ring the bell.  The police cars do not make any noise.. no fun!
The frog hopper is a favorite now:
They wanted to do this again:

Then a little rest on Danny the Dragon:

And guess what we were able to do?  We did it, we convinced her to try and guess what?!
She loved it!!!!
It was the end of the day so they were able to go on it over and over and over and over at least another 5 more times before we had to leave....
But one more time, please???  lol

The following day...  are you tired yet?!  ;)

July 22, 2011
We packed a lunch and went to a concert...  Can you tell by what they are wearing whom we went to see?
You guessed it!  Andy Z!!!!
He loves Andy Z!!!
We are huge fans.. and have been for many years.  We were able to grab Andy for a photo and he remembers us each time we take a photo with him.  He's a great performer and a great guy all around!
The concert was close by so we stopped to help Uncle Jim out...
Well, they took turns...
Isn't she the cutest?!!!
Okay... gotta go collapse now!  I'm tired just reviewing that lost week!  :)
