Catching up... or at least trying!

Life has been busy so we've taken time to enjoy the moment....  we will be absent a lot... but we will be back occasionally.

January 23, 2012 -- I went into the class on Chinese New Year to teach the class how to make firecrackers that Steph had posted on her blog.  The children had fun!

After the firecrackers project, MD and a few of his friends (who are also Chinese, handed out treats ot he class)
Then I went to MG's class to read to her class and do a project with them.  We made paper cut outs -- a dragon!
A third grade class is so different from kindergarten!  :)
I made them shirts... need to add that picture one day!
After school we headed off to swim class!
 Look what he can do!!!
Here they all are in the same pool and doing do well!
January 25, 2012 -- A special Science class!!!  They had guest speakers that brought in these wonderful tortoises!
MG took the camera and ran around taking pictures:
 MD and teacher Joe:
Then we went to visit Uncle Leo on his birthday!  He brought out his new XBox!
Ever played Fruit Ninja?  MD had so much fun!!!!
February 1, 2012 -- The 100th Day of School!!!
I was able to come into the class to help today -- doesn't he look thrilled?!
I was in charge of the 100 treats!  Lucky me!!!
They placed 10 treats into 10 different circles...
 E came too!  :)
 So much fun!
Then after we left, he went to pick out his 1/2 birthday gift.  It didn't take long... He had been eyeing this dragon for a couple of months now.  And now it's all his!  Happy HALF birthday, big guy!  :)
February 2, 2012 -- Our usual library visit, but today was an extra special treat!  A guest librarian came in to read a book called, Press Here.  Then they read a few more books about mixing colors and making pictures from dots...
 He had fun!
February 3, 2012 -- A playdate at the park!
February 6, 2012 -- Boys being boys!
After dropping MG off at school, we went to the park.  They played at the play ground then rode their bike/scooter around the park...
They found this place and played rock cannons!!!
Kept them busy until it was time for MD to go to school!
we are now caught up... and we may be sick....
