Another late update!

March 22, 2012 -- MD lost his 6th tooth!!!! (with a little help from me... I couldn't handle watching it wiggle in his mouth much longer!)

Thursday morning at the park.  what started out as a way to meet new moms and friends in MD's class has turned into quite an event for the boys and I.  We no longer just hang out at home but we head out first thing in the morning and explore our neighborhood creek and park!
Even at this age he still loves the swing!  ;)
They love this airplane!  (they call it airplane park even though is has a name - another REAL name!)
 ROAR!!!!
And after we drop off MD we head over to the library for story time!
March 24, 2012 -- Moving from her comfort zone, MG is participating in a Girl Scout Flash Mob coming up this May.  So, the girls spent a few hours practicing the routine:
 She looks so nervous....
 And a bit awkward...
But I am so proud of her for making the effort and trying!
There were over 100 girls this afternoon... and there will be thousands at the even!  It's going to be a fun event!  (more to come!!!)
March 27, 2012 -- This little guy enjoys the computer at the new Los Gatos library!  Every Tuesday is his day there and this is what he does for the first 20 minutes!  :)
Then we head out to his basketball class!
And he does a lot of this!
and this!!!!  :) (and he loves it)

Tooth #4 -- OUT!

It makes me laugh that they are coming out so quickly!  Although the first was so sudden (while eating corn on the cob), the rest are literally just being tugged out!  This one was no exception.  He had been working at it but it wouldn't come out on its own. So he finally asked me to help.  With a few tugs of the floss... OUT it came!  :)  Ahhhh... relief!  He was having issues eating corn on the cob (one of his favorite things to eat)!  Now he can have some!  YAY!!!

Tooth #3 OUT!

Well, he did it again!  It was hanging by the last bit of whatever it is that it was hanging by.... so  we tied the floss around it and gave it a little tug...

The tooth fairy is so proud of him for being so brave!!!

MD's #2 tooth out!

And you wouldn't believe it... but... well, here it is in his own words:

It had been wiggly for sooo long (and just ready to pop right out!) and he was complaining he couldn't eat corn!  SO, I asked him if I could pull it out.  He wouldn't let me.  But I told him he could do it himself... and there you have it!

One down

and 19 more to go!  Friday MD lost his first tooth!  And when I say lost, I mean it.  How so, you ask?  Well, he went to wash it and it slipped out of his hand/fingers... right down the sink drain!  He was upset... but not really.  I think I was more upset than he was!

While eating lunch, he bit on something hard... he came by to show me his new smile:
And I am so happy I am one of "those moms" who takes pictures of everything... because this is my only record and proof that he actually had the tooth at one time!
After picking up MG from school, we went to visit our dear friends.  They played for awhile and then Mia (Kiran and Nikash's neighbor) brought over one of her books.  She was reading to E and then everyone gathered around her.... so cute, huh?!
He was too busy doing this to read with the others:
 A new smile, indeed!
I brought out a few library books... Amazing what library books can do, huh?!
Later before going to bed, he wrote the tooth fairy a letter (aka to him "toos farre")
 Translation:
"Dear Tooth Fairy,
I lost a tooth.
It went down the drain.
May I have a dollar please."

This morning....06-04-11
The tooth fairy was generous -- a Pokemon card and $2!

She is so brave, my baby girl!

Today was the first day of a few more days... that she will have her teeth extracted.  Remember the post about her over crowded teeth?  Today was the first day... and she was the perfect patient!

Although she seemed nervous, she was chipper as ever.  During the first few minutes I was nervous for her.  Once the gas kicked in.. she was hilarious!!!!  She said to me (while her arms quickly swung up and then quickly sank down again), "Mommy, I am floating!!!"  And then with a big smile on her face, "My legs are asleep, heeheehee!"  Then she picked them up and crossed them while leaning back on the chair!  I laughed at her and she laughed at me.  She was so cute and so funny!  I love that girl so much, she makes me laugh!
When all was said and one, she was handed her teeth in a cute little box.  She wanted to open it immediately.  But I stopped her because she was still in the chair, still getting over the high, and the last thing I needed was to crawl on the floor looking for the teeth she might drop.  So she said to me really loud (because her headphones were still on - she was listening to Lilo and Stitch's Disney CD), "Take a picture for me!!!!"  And she even made the motions in case I couldn't understand her!  Heeheee... (that was a good idea, right?!) I laughed at her some more because she was so cute! :)  Then I took a picture of her teeth and showed her:

"Wow," she said, "They are so big!"  Yes... they are!  Check out her roots!  Oh my goodness!  I was in the room with her and tried to escape to the waiting room but she wouldn't let me.  Dr. Corcoran said I could stay and my reply was, "Yes, I know, but It's for my own sake that I should go!"  Well, she won and I stayed and held her hand during the entire process.  I watched as he struggled to pull that baby out!  The roots were so far apart and he even said to her,"This one does not want to come out!"

But she was such a trooper through it all!  By the time she went to bed, she was finally able to feel her lips again... and was able to write a nice letter to the tooth fairy:
The tooth fairy rewarded her with $4 (2 for each tooth) and a Pokemon card!  She was so excited this morning!!!!

So, there goes Tooth #9 and #10!
