An outing to himself

August 24, 2012

Big Sister and Big Brother have been busy at school... We've been kind of lonely without them.  But we "managed" to do fine this day.  ;)

He rode this all by himself (I meant, without his siblings).  And do you see the "smirk" on his face?  It's there because he realized that he was offered the "adult" or "big children" seat today.  He also noticed that he was the "biggest" child there on the ride.  Gotta love that he feels so much bigger without his siblings around!

 One happy boy today!
It was nice to just do things "his way" today.

Never too old...

to ride the merry go round!
I forget how big they are... until I see them on this ride then I realize that they are growing right before my eyes.  Once upon a time, this used to be their favorite ride.  We have had membership for the last 3 years to this park and zoo.  The first two years they would rush through the entrance and hop on their favorite animal.  Now, it's a rarity to get them all on this ride at the same time.  E always asks to ride it.  He chooses a different animal each time.  MD says he gets dizzy and wants to sit on the bench with me.  MG, she will go on with E if he asks her.  She's a good sister that way (sometimes!).  I smile to see that they are still so happy when they ride in circles... it's the simple things that makes me happy.  :)

I love them!!!!

It's been awhile...

February 22, 2012 -- the last day of swim lessons for this session.  The teacher was able to take all three at the same time since the other teacher was unable to make it today.  E really liked being in the same area as his  older siblings!

 There goes MG:
MD is already diving for his pool ring so E wants in on the fun too.  His teacher helped him a bit to look in the water at his brother and sister under the water.
And there they all are together!
February 25, 2012 -- MG had a successful cookie sale this morning with her troop.  All together each girl was able to sell 16 boxes each!
There were five of them that showed up this blustery morning.  16 boxes each for 2 hours... not bad I say!  :)
February 28,2012 -- E is doing really well with his writing!
Check out that picture!  He copied that sentence from a book he's learning to read... cute, no?!
February 29, 2012 -- They have been waiting for rain for so long!  It was a great morning.  The walk to school was so much fun!  :)
These two... well, what can I say?  They are mine!  ;)
 He loves the monkey bars!
 He loves to climb!
And these three were adorable for the Dr. Seuss birthday celebration!
March 2, 2012 This morning we went on a quick date...  He and I had spent 2 hours at the school workroom.  I was battling it out with the copy machine.  Meanwhile, he was the perfect child! He only asked for a few things.  Other than that, he let me work... so after we finished our work I felt he deserved a treat.  Jamba Juice is one of his favorite places to get a smoothie.  Today, we had Mango-a-go-go.  He likes to try different flavors.  His sister only wants Peach Pleasure.  His older brother takes what he can get... SO it was nice to try something different... just the two of us!
This is his "brain freeze" look:
 All better now!  :)
That evening, we dropped off MD at his friend's 7th birthday party.  Braden and MD met in preschool 3 years ago.  They are still friends and I am so happy about that because his mom and I get along just fine.  :)
March 3, 2012 A surprising day for the children... dad was finally able to come along to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo!  He has never been with us... so it was a treat!
 They went on rides:
And showed dad their favorite places to play:

Then they dragged dad on the roller coaster:
And because dad was there... we finally have a picture of me on the roller coaster!
Dad, you can come along anytime... because today was a great day with you!  :)
March 5, 2012 E drew this adorable picture of my mom...
We sent it off with a few words... and a picture of the two of them battling with a light saber, of course! ;)
March 7, 2012 -- MD had his check up with Dr. Kaur, his ophthalmology.  He is doing just fine!  As a matter  of fact, he's doing so well she was surprised!  His vision is 20/20.  So we're doing just fine, thanks to Dr. Sudesh and his amazing surgical hands!
That very same afternoon, he started Tae Kwon Do!  He LOVES it!!!
March 10, 2012 -- MG attended her first official professional soccer game!  Jenna's mom won tickets and Jenna picked Morgan to invite.
It was a cold and windy night... hot chocolate was VERY necessary!
The San Jose Earthquakes won, of course... It was the opening game of the season.  The score? 1 to 0!
March 13, 2012 -- E started mini-basketball class... and although he was nervous to start... He had a great time!
 Look at him dribbling!  :)
And he scored that basket!  :)
March 15, 2012 -- MD was in the school St. Patrick's Day parade.  He dragged (literally!) his big buddy, Dylan!
 Cute, aren't they?!
They painted the backs of their shirts any way they pleased...
His tough guy face!  (yes, be scared... be very, very scared!)
March 16, 2012 -- the children woke up to a house full of mysterious green treats and a treasure hunt!  that sneaky leprechaun sure knows how to get in and get out without making a peep!  These green chocolate chip cookies with Andes thin mints were delicious!
And the scrambled eggs and green pan cakes the leprechaun left us... yum!
Thanks for the fun day, Mr. leprechaun!
March 19, 2012 -- These 3 are loving their swim lesson!
 See how happy they are?!
And they are so good at treading water!  I can barely do this!
March 20,2012 -- Today is the first day of Spring!  So we made a nice floral arrangement for MD's teacher because we just love her to bits!
Then MG made these lovely rolled paper flowers for her teacher!
 Aren't they so beautiful?!

And now we are caught up... until I fall behind again!
